What's new now?

first single “shade of hue” off my upcoming debut EP is NOW LIVE EVERYWHERE.

where should i begin…… this song is about the discovery of an instant connection with someone you had only met once before, and how you started picturing what you guys could be. Your feelings were only getting stronger by the minute, until you discovered that they were actually in a relationship and the date you had thought wasn't that much of a date after all.

However, if you listen to this song, you'll find out it's not necessarily a sad, crying song just because of that. It's at most bittersweet, definitely hopelessly, probably even helplessly romantic. The song is a reminiscence of all the beautiful encounters and everything magical you've discovered about them that day.

Now, music wise, it's an indie-pop, perhaps mellow-pop song where piano, guitar, drums and strings blend in to make the vocals stand out. There's not a regular 4-chord-repeat pop structure; rather, the evolution of arrangement is a reflection of the mood underlying the lyrics.

Why is it called “shade of hue”? That's for you to find out.

I made everything myself- I wrote it, sang it, recorded it, played every instruments, produced it, mixed it, mastered it…… but I didn't just do it for myself-

I did it for every one out there that shares similar experiences who would like to stitch their life stories into my words and melodies, which afterward, become theirs.

If you are one of those people, I can't wait for you to hear it- and talk to me about it! Send me an DM on instagram and let's connect there.

What did you miss?

my debut single “Istanbul” was released on Jan 16, 2024.

This song is about the fear of reaching an end of a relationship when it only just started. It's hope and anxiety mixed together, trying to enjoying the beauty at the moment and also thinking about how this beauty might end at the same time.

Music wise, it's a synth-pop song with just a bit of rock influence. It bases on a four-chord structure but variations happen in every section. Some memorable moments worth mentioning are when the synth pads kicks in at the pre-chorus:

“Don't know what truly shine more bright;

those blinding city lights or your brown eyes

even though that gleam might die”

When turkish and rock-ish electric guitar strumming appear in the bridge,

And when the key changes at the last chorus where all feelings rushes in like water during the last few lines that quickly went back to peace, sadness and vain again:

"If there's ever an end between us,

before you go

Take me to Istanbul"

This song will forever be special to me, and hopefully to more than just me, in more than one way I can explain. I am grateful for the memories behind this song and let me know every thought of yours:)

“Seni çok seviyorum”

What's coming next?

There are five songs I wrote during my freshman year of university of five distinct themes. The last story wrote was “shade of hue” and the first story is the one coming next. I cannot express how excited I am…… but for now, let's enjoy shade of hue and stay tuned for the next announcements.
